Group Makes Hundreds of Quilts for Charity

On "Giving Tuesday", we're thankful for this heartwarming story about a group in Nebraska using fabric scraps donated by our New York office to make beautiful quilts for those in need. As of the time an article in the Elgin Review was published, 120 quilts had been made this year, many of which have already been distributed. Richloom Fabrics Group is proud to be a part of such a wonderful tradition, and so happy to see fabric that would otherwise go to waste used for such a worthy cause!

See photos of the group below, and read more about them here and here

RV Business: Richloom Fabrics Group

In a recent article appearing in RV Business, our COO Michael Saivetz spoke about Richloom Fabrics Group's Hit the Road RV line, and the drive to create a more residential look and feel in RVs.

"We make a very good product that we stand behind and at an affordable price." Richloom COO Michael Saivetz told RVBusiness. "It's easy for any company to say "we can do this, we can do that." But what I want to be rated on is when there is a problem, how quickly do we jump to resolve that problem?"

Richloom Fabrics is proud to offer Fortress Acrylic fabrics! Fortress Acrylic represents the ultimate in indoor/outdoor performance fabrics. This 100% solution-dyed acrylic offering has superior durability and clean-ability while maintaining an exceptionally soft hand. Manufactured in the USA, these fabrics are fade resistant, breathable and the perfect product to use in both indoor and outdoor spaces. Fortress Acrylic fabrics are easy to maintain and are bleach cleanable.

What exactly is solution-dyed acrylic? This means the yarn was dyed before it even became a yarn! When produced this way, the color is vibrant all the way through which makes it last so much longer. The properties of acrylic fabrics, like stain and mildew resistance, make it the perfect choice for outdoor spaces, as well as indoor spaces that require a little more performance.

America's Last Fabric Factories

Back in the 1950's we started as a small textile manufacturer out of the United States. Over the years, our company has grown and most of our production has been outsourced through China and India. That being said we have a lot of respect for the local mills that are still operating here in the states. We stumbled upon a cool article documenting a few of the textile mills still operating out of the North East. Christopher Payne's photographs really help tell the story as well.
